I bought a Dell 1610 HD projector recently and was trying to setup with my Haman/Kardon AVR254 receiver ( bought from Dell 2 years ago) through HDMI cable.

 I cannot see picture on the screen. It keeps showing the error message “  the resolution is out of … PC mode “ and it requires 1920 x1080…..”.

 I checked the receiver resolution, and it was set to be 1080i. If without via the receiver everything  is fine, that is , a direct connection from my Blue Ray DVD player to the project.

 My friend brought his recently bought YAMAHA receiver to have a test and the same thing happened. I wonder there must be a compatible problem of the projector with receiver devices. Is there any solution for this problem?
