I have a problem here, and I am hoping someone can help out.
We are an all Dell shop, servers, desktops, laptops, etc. Anyhow, this is the only problem we have ever really had with our Dell hardware.
The issue occurs when we attempt to open MS Project on a Dell laptop attached to a Dell projector, Project crashes. When not connected to the projector, MS Project works fine.
I know this sounds like a MS issue, however they have told me it is a Dell issue(typical of most support), and while I have a hard time not blaming MS, I also feel that it maybe a hardware issue, as I came across a blog somewhere(long forgotten) that mentioned inorder to achieve high resolution, Dell rewites or resizes certain characters.
I have tested on 2 laptops(Dell Latitude D800s) and have received the same eror.
Ok, seems that this problem is only an issue with the Latitude D810s, the D800s work fine. This leads me to believe it is due to the video card which is the only big difference between the two. The D810s have the ATI video card. So far I have attempted rolling back the driver(no luck) and rolling ahead the driver(no luck). Anyone else having this problem?
No, I have tested with the latest video driver and this is still an issue. Anyone have any ideas?
We have just brought 4 Latitude D810's and this is causing a big issue for us. I am sure others are having the same issue. Can Dell take a D810 with Project 2003 installed and do some testing?
