Has anyone tried to integrate this projector using AMX control, controlling with 232?

We're in the middle of it right now.  It really doesn't work without a whole lot of modifications.  My best advice?  Buy the model below that has the IR remote and integrate that way.  The 4100 uses an RF remote so there is no clean way to control it at all and the Dell folks really know nothing about it other than what's in the manual.  Sorry...

We were able to control this projector eventually with 232 but it was not intuitive. The rf remote was a disappointment. We are not considering Dell for future purchases.

How did you finally get it to work.  We have still not been successful in getting the two units to communicate.  Any helpful advice?

If I remember correctly as it has been about 9 mos, once we got the din connector wired correctly, the only other problem was fomatting in amx code. I did not have my send_string data in single quotes and it was sending the wrong characters.
