No, there is not a supported method to upgrade the drives to SSD without data loss. You can probably use third party software to clone or backup the data and restore it after creating a new virtual disk with the replacement drives.

As long as it is the same interface type(SATA) and storage type(spindle/platter, SSD) then yes, it is possible. Non-Dell drives are not supported on our PERCs, so I can't say for sure that anything will work correctly if you choose to use unsupported drives.

Drive mixing is not supported, so you can't rebuild drives into the virtual disk that have different characteristics. For instance, if you have a virtual disk of SATA SSDs you can't rebuild with a disk that is a SAS SSD or SATA spindle. All disks must be SATA SSDs in the virtual disk. I can't recall if the drive mixing limitation is across the entire controller or just the virtual disk on the S110. You should be able to find that information in the manual.

If you go to the system support page there is an option for parts and accessories. That will show what is available online. You will need to contact sales if what you are looking for is not available online. If the drive is not available online or through retail sales then you can check with spare parts. Spare parts sells parts that are not in retail packaging. There are many limitations on spare parts sales in comparison to retail sales, so it is best to buy through retail if possible. You can also check with re-sellers/partners.
