Crash-Consistent vs Application-Consistent

For bookmarks setting has two Consistency types, Crash-Consistent and Application-Consistent. Anyone can let I know more detail ?

Yes, application-consistent bookmarks should be generated in conjunction with the quiescing of an app or database or when the app or database is shutdown.

RecoverPoint has a vss utility (kvss) that can used to quiesce SQL or Exchange. Other Dell EMC software products such as AppSync also has this capability and more, and is used in conjunction with RecoverPoint.

You can find it in the RecoverPoint Administration Guide which is downloadable from Dell EMC Online Support.
