Symptoms
Upgrading vSphere to version 8 will cause RecoverPoint 5.x clusters to stop replicating
Cause
Resolution
A workaround for compatibility is not possible
RecoverPoint for VMs 5.x are currently only supported through vSphere versions 7.0U3x
Please review the current Simple Support Matrix for details regarding compatible RecoverPoint for VMs and vSphere versions
Resolution:
RecoverPoint for VMs 6.0 supports vSphere 8.0 as of May 9th 2023.
RecoverPoint for VMs 6.0 can only be deployed on a vSphere 8.0 environment with no previous RecoverPoint for VMs installed it, meaning that currently upgrades from RecoverPoint for VMs 5.3.x are not supported.
