My daughter tried to play games she hasn't played in approximately six months.  The computer read them with no glitches the first two years she played them.  Now it gives the an error message stating "the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications..." 

 

My problem is my attempt to type the commands as mandated in knowledge base article 324767, nee Q324767.   When the prompt window is open it automatically shows the "C:\documents and settings".   I am to type three commands for config.nt, autoexec.nt and command.com.  and hit "enter" after each command.  When I type the individual commands, it tells me that 'destination is not a directory' and shows only the last half of the command starting with the word 'letter'. The full command is as follows:

 

expand CD-ROM Drive Letter:\i386\config.nt_c:\windows\system32\config.nt

 

I am typing them verbatim, but the words CD-ROM Drive Letter in each command is in italics.          1) Does this make a difference?   2) Are the spaces between the words a spacebar or tab?
