Cannot remove hard drive!

My Inspiron 2650's hard drive committed suicide, so I bought a new hard drive to install. Problem is, I can't get the old one out! I removed the single screw, but am unable to pull it out, which I had been told it would do easily. What is keeping it from sliding out?

    Okay, I got the drive out and unscrewed it, but now I can't get the connector off to put on the new drive. Does it just pull off?

    it looks like the front plate side down and then out.

    yes it pulls straight out, pull hard a little at a time on each side.
