cyclic redundancy check
Ok I've read alot about my problem and it seems there is a lot of it out there but no solution as of yet.
I've recently ahd to reset my computer and backed everything up onto cd. I checked each cd and they worked fine. Now after the reset I get the data error: cyclic redundancy check message, after its copied about 98% of my data off the CD. Any cd I've burned after the reset work just fine, only the ones that came from before don't work. Any ideas how I can get this to work, or on how to retrieve my data. I'm pretty sure I got the latest drivers for my CD\DVD drive (samsung sn-324S)
If you think you can help me please do so, but please tell how in detail, as some of this stuff is completely new to me.

This is a four year old thread. So it's unlikely the original poster is around to check. Why don't you provide your hardware details and I'll try to help.
BTW, "cyclic redundancy check" is a read error with the disc. If this occurs with all discs, it may be your drive, but more likely it's just the one disc. The solution is simple. Install the drivers from a downloaded version.

new data:
well a mistake was made earlier. The new CDs burned now don't work. So not a hour after they had worked, they give the same problem. This is after a system reboot. So what could cause these CDs to work one minute then all of a sudden stop. Their clean, can't be the software because they were working just a while ago, and nothing new was installed. What could be the problem.
