DVD Drive acting up

I have a Dell Inspiron 531 with the following DVD drive: HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GSA-H73N SCSI CdRom Device [Optical drive]

It will only read DVD movies, it will not read data dvd's.  When I have one in it will not read it.  I went to try and reinstall the driver for the drive in the driver download but when I did (I entered the correct service tag)  it gave me the following error 'Target Model Not Found'

Any Ideas or suggestions.  I don't believe that it is a virus as all detection software is up to date and scans are run regularly.

Thanks

    Hi Surgent,

There are no drivers to download for this drive, just a firmware update. Does device manager report any problems? How about CDs?

    Thanks for the information,

No errors are showing up in the device driver, It will play recognize DVD movies (purchased from a store), and also blank media.  It will not recognize DVD data discs or music CD's (purchased from a store)

is the .exe for the firm ware update B110.exe?  if so that is the one I downloaded.

    Thanks again
