Please help,

 have a dell laptop service tag

I went to start up and got message "A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"

II do this and it goes right back  to :A disk.....restart. So then F12 and do the diagnostics and it came up with error code 1000-0146 & 1000-0141.

Now what do I have to do? And if I have to spend $ $$ witch I do not have (I'll have to beg from people because I am on a fixed income and $$ is tight this late in the month) how much $$ for the part and how $$ to have someone put it in, or could I put it in myself.
