HL-DT-ST CDRW/DVD GCC4482 NOT WORKING
I'm new to the forum and new to trying to fix problems by myself but I'm willing to learn. I have a Dimenson 1100/B110 desktop and this is my second dell to have this problem. My Inspiron lap top did the same thing about a month ago and to tell you the truth, I can't afford to have to pay again to have this one fixed. I sure would appreciate someone who could walk me through the steps to reset or fix it so the darn thing will work.

Hi, thanks for such a quick response.Not able to read or write and I used to be able to burn and play cd's and dvd's. When I open the device manager there is a yellow exclamation mark in the box. when I double click on it I get an error message "cannot load the device driver fot this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing (code 39)"kentucky blue l

Well, that worked fine except now it keeps telling me there is no disc in the drive. Any idea's what I need to do now. LOL I'm just about to give it up. I can get a disc to open but can't copy data from my computer to a disc. I'm sorry to be such a pain.Kentucky Blue Lady
