I AM CONSIDERING BUYING A NEW INTERNAL HARD DRIVE AND WAS WONDERING IF I NEEDED TO BACK UP EVERYTHING ON A DISK. ALSO IF I PURCHASED THIS NEW INTERNAL HARD DRIVE WOULD IT RESTART MY COMPUTER TO ITS FACTORY SETTINGS. I NEED MORE STORAGE AND ALSO MY SYSTEM IS VERY SLOW AND I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE PROCESS OF REINSTALLING WINDOWS AND THIS DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I WAS WONDERING IF THIS WOULD WORK AND ALSO GIVE ME MORE STORAGE. PLEASE RESPOND ASAP.
sorry i did not mean to shout. I have a older dell dimension 2350 and according to all the diagnostic there is nothing wrong with the hard drive so I can just assume that some program is causing my system to act up. I have followed the steps in reinstalling windows and all the programs are still showing up on the system. I do have a antivirus installed and according to the scans there is no virus. I have backed up important information but would like to restart the system back to factory settings. I do have all the disk the come with the system or would it be just as easy to purchase a larger hard drive and upgrade the system

Hi,
Please stop SHOUTING, posts in blocks of capitals are also much harder to read through and make sense of.
What model computer and what operating system.
New hard drives are normally a simple installation but unless we know the computer series and model, it is impossible to give any accurate help.
