PLEASE HELP ME!

How do i remove programs from my startup? I don't mean just stop them from starting up, i mean remove them. The thing is i downloaded a program limewire and wanted to unintall it, so i went to add or remove programs but it wasnt listed there for some reason, i didn't no what to do, so i went to search on my computer, typed in limewire, and anything that had limewire in the name i deleted myself. When i went to the startup list, i saw it is still there! It's not checked, but it's there! How do i remove it??????? PLEASE HELP ME! I'm not good with reading instructions myself so if you could make it easy for me i'll be happy. I asked this before and people gave me websites with insrtuctions to remove limewire..... BUT I DELETED IT ALREADY!

PLEASE HELP!

Go to start and then Run it will bring up a box type in this   regedit then click okay once that is done you will get another box that says Registry Editor go to the menue bar where it says file edit view and click on  Edit then go down to where it says Find then another box will come up and say this  FIND type the word limewire then click next you will see some registry files for limewire in their when they come up just right click on the highlighted one and click delete then go back and click on the menu bar and click now on find next it will search your registry and do the same process once it highlights it right click then delete then repeat the process where it begins to FIND NEXT process do this until the search is finish it will tell you FINISHED SEARCH THROUGH REGISTRY.... I hope this helps ... Good luck

Below procedure will provide a faster boot up, and eliminate wasting memory on programs that are not in use at this time, and may help gaming……

http://netsquirrel.com/msconfig/  Fair reading on start up programs

Start Up Programs: Click on START, Click on Run, than put in the box MSCONFIG Click OK. Now you are in the System Configuration Utility Program. Click on START UP you see on the top of this Utility Program. Uncheck the programs from here that you do not want to start at boot up, leaving the anti virus and any third party firewall alone. You can always go back into this program to restart them. They will not be uninstalled. Click on APPLY, than it will ask you if you wish to reboot the system. Do so. After it boots up again, you will be presented with another window from the System Configuration Utility Program telling you that you have made an adjustment. If you don't want to see this pop up each time you boot up, put a check mark in the little box in the lower left corner of this announcement.

http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php  Link to a site that can explain what you have starting up, if you do not already know, and which ones you can safely un-check. It’s a long list. Or you can Google Search for what is showing in the Msconfig program, and see what it is...
