Suggestions please

Instead of swapping out my somewhat aged Sony CD/DVD burner combo from old Dell to new 4700, I think I might just get a new, up-to-date combo burner...any suggestions for brand, model and seller? Thanks.

    When you say combo burner, do you mean a CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive, or a DVD burner? All DVD burners can also burn CDs.

    Sorry, yes a DVD burner.

    Hi Hgershman,

    John & Mike both are currently off-line. So far our Regulars tend to recommend Plextor, Pioneer and NEC (retail) brands the majority of the time. Also Sony & BenQ pop-up at times as well.
    One of the on-line places to shop we see listed
    here most is New Egg
