System Restore Question

I accidentally deleted some files a few days ago that I would like to have back.  When I went to do a system restore, It won't let me go back to choose a point in May (since its early June now, I want to go back to late May)  When I click the back button on the calendar, it won't go back.... What can I do??  It worked a few days ago, but I need to go back again and get something else that is very important. Is there anythign I can do?????

If I do that, could the restore points from the past (namely from May) show up??

Nope.  Once gone, they are gone.  If they don't work now, they most likely are not recoverable.  Turning it off deletes all restore points.

Could be many reasons.  Virus, spyware, corrupted restore points.  Turn System Restore off, reboot, turn it back on, set a manual point.  If it works, then you're all set.

There are a number of freeware utilities that will recover accidentally deleted files (provided that they have not been overwritten).

Search for Data recovery, or go here:

    http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/system/fwdatarecovery.html

"PC Inspector File Recovery" looks like it will do the job.
