Furious about Android updates.
I Just got my Dell streak yesterday, but I already love it and have gotten myself acquainted with Android. We have all heard about the 2.1 and 2.2 updates which as far as I know are a risky idea even though many have gotten them to work. Here is my problem, the upgrade supposedly changes the unlock prompt to an ugly slider that I don't like one bit, and after the update, i would lose the ability to have multiple wallpapers on my "rooms"?!?!? That is unacceptable. Those may sound like trivial problems, but those things are huge in my book. I am extremely disappointed. I don't plan on upgrading from 1.6 until I find a way around this. On a side note, are there any flash players working with 1.6?

I know the kind of work that goes into this stuff, but they obviously weren't thinking too hard on that one. I'm sure you don't really any impressive credentials to make your opinion any more valid than mine.

So you must be disappointed that you do not have the official Dell 2.2 as NO- Flash does not work with 1.6 or 2.1. The Updates that have been done are NOT official and are done by programmers who wish to do this for many people who know what they are doing with them AND they also find out the various faults with the software as supplied. So stay with 1.6 as you do not appear to realise what these updates are for. You would probably destroy your Streak in the process. Leave this to the experts. They are doing a great job.
