I have been waiting for the Active stylus to be on sale again for over a month and seems that it will never be fixed. Do the regular rubber tip stylus work well for writing? Are all of them the same?

I see some that cost $1 and others that cost $10+. Not sure which work at least for writing on the venue 8 pro. Any suggestions.

Seems to do what I want, not sure if the screen would respond to it.
