I've posted a thread a couple of weeks ago, and got some great help, but i think i still have some problems and a couple of questions as well.
First of all, i had a lot of spyware and adware and all kinds of bad stuff on my computer, so i was told to download Zone Alarm Security Suite, which is running great i think. (although i am not always sure which option i should choose when a message alert comes up and asks me if i want to apply or deny it...) Then i downloaded Spybot- Search and destroy, and that finds a couple of things pretty much every day (i try to run it every day) I've just ran it actually, and it found 4 different things - Avenue A,Inc. (-> i see this one a lot, i have no clue what it is and where it comes from?) Double Click, HitBox, MediaPlex. I don't have any idea about them whatsoever. But I remove whatever it finds. I also have Ad-aware SE Personal, i run that all the time too. A question: I don't know how it's possible for all these security softwares to find different things, one doesn't find stuff the other does...i just don't get that. How is that possible??
Oh and this morning when i was trying to turn my computer on, it just came up with the blue screen, when the only choice (well, as far as i know) is to push the turn on/off button for a couple of seconds, and then it turns off eventually. Then i turned it back on, and the black screen showed, and i chose to load windows normally. (i am not sure if that was the best choice, but afterwards everything seemed to be fine.) But i don't know what that was all about, it kinda scared me.
Oh yeah, and i have windows defender as well...so after using all these protections, i don't know how some of this junk can still get on my computer?!?!
And why is my computer still running slower than it should be?? It takes like 10 seconds to open a browser or my documents or anything else...it all seems hopeless...:( please help and give me some advice. I can post a hijackthis log if necessary.
