Help! Outside computer attempting access

I'm having a lot of trouble with my PC.  I've used AOL virus scan to quarantine/delete several spyware and adware files, but the infection has proven itself more wiley than the "mighty" AOL software.  I managed to get a few more fixed with Spybot Search & Destroy, but there are still some serious issues.  I'm running slow, and I also crash now and then.  Periodically, a file named m?dtc.exe requests access to the internet.  Also, I continue to receive the message:

A computer at address 66.231.185.135 has attempted to access one of your system ports (Port 1027)

I've downloaded hijack this, but don't have the knowlege to use it properly.  Please help!  Here is the log:

    Re Run Hijackthis
    • At the Main window select " Open the misc tool section"
Then select " Open uninstall manager"
Then " save list" and save it to your desktop
Copy and paste that list as a reply to this thread

    You are most welcome.

We have some work to do here, so please be patient

    1. Reboot into Safe Mode
    This can be done by
    • Restart your PC, and after it starts, but before you see the Windows Splash screen
Begin tapping the F8 key twice a second untill you reach another menu screen (black background with white menu choices)
Use your arrow keys and select Safe Mode and then Enter
    2. Go to Add/Remove Programs (Click Start->>Control Panel->>Add/Remove Programs)
    And uninstall the following programs
    • OIN
      Outerinfo
      WildTangent GameChannel (remove only)
      <<- THIS LINK->>
    Close Windows Explorer->>Reboot your PC

    3. Go here and download Purity Scan Uninstaller

And Save it to your desktop

    4. Please run the Purity scan Uninstaller
If you have any problems a Tutorial can be found here

    5. Reboot your PC->>Rerun Hijackthis and post a freshHijackthis log

I've uninstalled the programs, but I cannot download the uninstall file for outerinfo.  I'm sure I'm just doing something stupid, so I apologize if this is a problem my 4 month old could fix... I've lowered my security settings, turned off my pop up blocker, and even shut down my firewall trying to get the file downloaded.  Nothing seems to work.  I get a message that states, "Your current security settings will not allow you to download this file".  I don't know if it will help but here is the most recent hijackthis log:

You may not be doing anything wrong, could be the infection interfering. Making good progress so far

You may want to print out these instructions for reference as we will be doing most of this fix in Safe Mode

    1. Boot into Safe Mode

    2. Rerun Hiajckthis (scan only) and place checks beside the following entries
    • O2 - BHO: (no name) - {0CB66BA8-5E1F-4963-93D1-E1D6B78FE9A2} - (no file)
      O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)
      O2 - BHO: (no name) - {F236DA15-1FFA-472B-A69A-6744E4824F94} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\xugpcap.dll (file
      missing)
      O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE
      O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [My Web Search Bar] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\MWSBAR.DLL,S
      O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [spywarebot] C:\Program Files\SpywareBot\SpywareBot.exe -boot
      O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [kqku] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\kqku\kqkum.exe
      O8 - Extra context menu item: &Search -
      http://edits.mywebsearch.com/toolbaredits/menusearch.jhtml?p=ZCxdm565YYUS
Close all other open windows except Hijackthis and Select " Fix checked"

    3. Using Windows Explorer
    • (Right click on "Start," select "Explore," and you will see the "tree' of file folders in the left side of the window. Click on the "+" next to any folder name to expand its contents)
Locate and Delete the following folders
    • C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1 <<-Should translate C:\Program Files\My Web Search
      C:\Program Files\SpywareBot
      C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\kqku
      <<-Should translate C:\Program Files\Common Files\kqku
Close windows explorer->>Reboot your PC into Normal Windows Mode->>Rerun Hiajckthis and post a fresh Hijackthis log

I followed your instruction, but two of the three folders you told me to delete did not exist. They were:

    C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1 <<-Should translate C:\Program Files\My Web Search
    C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\kqku
    <<-Should translate C:\Program Files\Common Files\kqku

    Here is the new log:

Good job so far. Before we continue you have a suspicious file we need to have checked

    1. Please upload this file to Jotti's Online Virus Scan

    • C:\WINDOWS\System32\nlhtmi.dll

    • Click " Browse" at the top of the page
      - Navigate to (Locate)

      • C:\WINDOWS\System32\nlhtmi.dll

      - Click " Open" Then the "Submit" and let the scan finish
      - Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the results
      - Copy/paste the results in your next reply.

Here is the information from the scan.  Again, thank you for your help.  I appreciate the amount of time you are taking to fix my problem.

    You are most welcome.

We will leave the file. We still have a few things to do.

In your Installed program list, ther was no sign of an active AntiVirus program. There are signs of one or 2 in your Hijackthis log, but none seem to be loaded properly. So let's get one. It's Free, and then we will dump the leftovers from the others.

Go HERE and download AVG free

Update it and run a full System Scan

Then rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh log
