Hi here is my Hijack log my computer has been freezing for the past 2 weeks it happend 10 to 12 times about once a day. It does this while I am online this has never happened before I did a system restore to before it started to happen but that didn't help. I thought that it might be a virus or worm but I did a scan at trend micro and it found nothing I have both Ad-Aware and Spybot and both are up to date so if someone could read my Hijack this log I would greatly appreacite it thanks in advance.Logfile of HijackThis v1.97.7

    camojon,

Nothing in that log stands out as a virus or trojan, so let's try this:

    1) Open the "Event Viewer" and look under "System" and "Application". If you see a warning, or error, right-click on it, then select "Properties"; that's give us more information.

    2) Go to www.trendmicro.com and click "Free Online Scan". Wait until it's downloaded, then select all available drives, then click "Scan".

    Post back the results.

    Mike.

I have dial-up Earthlink and if I was just losing my Internet connection then I would think the problem was related. But it freezes my whole system I try Ctrl + Alt + Delete and that will not do anything so I really have no idea what the problem could be I know it's not a new program causing the problem because of the system restore I have contacted Dell and they had me do a scan to see that all the programs were working but it didn't find anything.

    camojon,

You might try either the software or hardware forums and see what they think. I'm guessing it's a hardware failure of somekind.

    Mike.
