Bugbatter, thanks for the help, however I am not a tech-related type of person. I have tried to remove infections using HJT before but it takes so much time and the person who are helping me just vanished without finishing the removal. HJT requires run>review> post, run>review>post... HJT will be my last resort for now because I have to do it fast and quick.296

formated, those instructions leave something to be desired.
Dave, click HERE to download a self-extractable version of HijackThis.
- Double click on hijackthis.exe to extract hijackthis to folder c:\hijackthis.
- It will extract it to that folder and open the folder for you.
- It will also create a shortcut on your desktop to HijackThis.
- It will scan and the log should open in notepad.Click on "Edit > Select
- All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the
- log.

Dave,Malware continually gets more and more sophisticated, "morphing" itself, to make it harder to detect and fix. As such, ABetterInternet could have several "variations", each of which may require a different "cure". (For example, I believe some versions may [but not necessarily] be related to a "NAIL"/epolvy-type infection and/or "The Best Offers Network" ) If you insist on trying "quick fixes" on your own, you may "get lucky" --- but you can also wind up wasting even more time --- and perhaps even inflicting damage (depending on which "fixes" you attempt to run on your own).HiJackThis, as suggested by BugBatter, should reveal the exact problem... at which point, the appropriate fix can then be recommended by an expert. Granted, HJT can often appear to be highly technical and complex. But sometimes, there's no getting around this. It certainly couldn't hurt you to post your log... even if it takes a while for someone to respond. [The HJT forum is "overwhelmed" by logs submitted, and very understaffed. " Where did you post your HJT log? --- I took a quick look in the HJT forum (the proper place for posting logs), and [unless I overlooked it] didn't find any of yours [except for some "advice" you offered someone there about removing MoviePass]. As ky331 mentioned, if that infection has been installed by Epolvy, filenames change on each reboot. It is almost impossible for an untrained user to find and remove it manually.
Furthermore, Dave, if your helper disappears for longer than 5 days, before your issue is resolved, contact a Moderator and let him know about it, so that another helper can take over.
