My computer has been behaving oddly, I have tried the Vundofix.exe program to no avail and i still randomly get popups in IE(my firefox doesn't normally work well) I finally decided to get HJT even though i have already located my main problem to be a small file in "C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Local\Temp" by the name of rqono.dll and it makes another file called rqono.exe, i have tried disabling it at startup via msconfig and I have tried to delete it, infact i succeeded the other day just to have it reappear today, I have tried a few different applications, one said it is vundo, vundofix says i have no vundo, and personally i'm getting tired of the word vundo after searching everywhere for the answer. There we're also files named nnnmn.dll and another which i can't remember before rqono.dll, i have deleted it out of the registry multiple times, i really need some help here.(i'm running in safemode right now just because i'm tired of the popups. I fixed it, somehow. It took combofix, smitfraudfix, CleanUp!, and using safemode, but eventually i got it. Not sure if theres a way to close my thread though.. so ya
Thanks for letting us know, but you should NOT use Combofix unless you have been instructed to do so by a Malware Removal Expert. It is intended by its creator to be used under the guidance and supervision of an expert, not for private use.
You have some dangerous tools left on there along with their files/folders.
The tools that we used as well as this one will be removed from your system.
** NOTE: If you get a warning from your firewall or other security programs regarding OTMoveIt attempting to contact the internet please allow it.
OTMoveIt will not delete HijackThis in case you want to keep HJT so you can post a log in the future if you ever have another problem -- assuming the tool does not have a newer version at that time.
