Malicious Script Detected

My son just bought a new Dell Computer and after he set it up he received the message Malicious Script Detected.  He is not hooked up onto the Internet yet and it keeps flashing.  He called Dell Tech Support but was put on hold for an hour.  What can he do since he is not hooked to the Internet and it just came out of the box.
