Registry Change Denied-TeaTimer
I think the problem I am having has something to do with TeaTimer which is part of Spybot Search and Destroy. When I use msconfig to turn off SuperAntiSpyware from starting at Start Up I get the following message on my desktop that appears 4 or 5 times on my desktop. These messages are stacked in a vertical column on the right of my desktop.
Resident> 12:40 Registry Change denied. Identified as user Blacklist Resident denied the change of SuperAntiSpyware (catergory system Start up user entry) based on your blacklist.
Is there a way to delete or undo this blacklist and where can I find this in the program? Annie
P.S. Turning off Tea Timer and then turning off SuperAntiSpyware in msconfig stops the Registry Change denied messages.

RIGHT-click on the TeaTimer icon in your system tray.
select SETTINGS
this will open your "BLACK & WHITE" list: the registry/process settings that you've told TeaTimer to remember in the future (so as not to continually prompt you about them).
there are actually two blacklists [blocked lists]:
blocked registry changes
blocked processes
sounds like you want the former (blocked registry changes) tab/panel.
then locate & highlight the item you want to UNblock, and LEFT-click on the X next to it.
teatimer will then ask you to confirm your decision.

in the case of SAS, rather than using MSConfig to turn off its startup, I think it would be simpler/cleaner to do so from within SAS itself:
PREFERENCES
General & Startup Tab
under Startup options, UNcheck the box START SAS when Windows starts
Bugbatter and ky331, Thank you both for providing the answer to this problem. Yes, I did finally find Preferences in the SuperAntispyware program and turn this program off from starting up at start up. I was assuming that since I had the free version that I could not do this in the program itself.
I was also able to go to Teatimer and the "blocked registry changes" and was able to UNblock the Superantispyware program. Ky331 thanks for all the step by step instructions.

How do I edit the Black & White list in resident TeaTimer? FAQ #005
Please right-click the Resident icon in the system tray Spybot S&D resident and select Settings. There you will find four lists for remembered decisions (allowed/denied processes and registry changes). In order to remove an entry, just click on the cross next to it. TeaTimer will then "forget" this decision and you will be asked again the next time.
I don't use SAS either, but is there no setting in there to give you the option of not having the program run at startup so you do not have to use msconfig?
