Go to here and download HiJackThis to its own folder that you create on your C:\ drive.
After it is downloaded open the program and click Scan and Save to log.

Post the log that it generates in the HiJackThis forum for analysis.

even though steve is probably an expert on computers, i would recommend using hijack this as of right now

people you do something that could really screw up other computer, i suggest running spybot search and destory and personal adware. if you dont have them just google them and download em.

maybe theres spyware messing around with your computer.

give it a try and reply back if you still have problems

    Hi Bob,

Moviepass is something that's causing a lot of problems.  It seems to be a program which installs itself on a users computer without the user being aware.  You then have a free 3 day trial after which time you receive ever more frequent pop-ups demanding payment and threatening to affect your credit rating - does this sound familiar?

It's a bunch of programs with the 'pop-up' being generated from your hard-drive which is why pop-up blockers have no effect.

I'm guessing you've tried a full spyware, adware and virus scan and probably with no luck.

I've created a webpage here... http://profend.com/answers/moviepass.html that goes through different ways of resolving the problem from simply deleting the file that causes the pop up to removing every moviepass file, repairing the registry and so on.

    I hope it helps you.
