Thin pool - Max. Subscription
Following is the output of Thin pool.

# of Devices in Pool : 64
# of Enabled Devices in Pool : 64
Max. Subscription Percent : None
*Will it impact if i keep "Max. Subscription Percent" as NONE? This was setup few months back.
*If it overscribe; will it impact host IO?
any advise? thanks in advance!

What is preallocation % that you have set? There is no best value for Max. Subsciption. You need to find it yourself depending upon the criticality of the pool and the application it is running. If its mission critical, i would keep it to 100% so my pool never gets full.

Hi,
Looking at it...i would prefer to make max subscription as below-
Max. Subscription Percent : 150
as your current and allocated subscriptions are -
Current Subscription Percent : 117
Allocated Subscription Percent : 71
but still better to perform an intensive look into your environment. You are the best judge to that.

Max Sub % : None means there is No Limit. So you can subscribe to watever limit you want and may end up with Pool Full situation. Host IO will be stopped if your Pool becomes full.
If you keep it to none then it requires very frequent monitoring and make sure your pool is not full. Alternatively, to avoid critical application to stop in that condition, you can use preallocation.
