Host connectivity issue
Hi all,
VNX 5300
Linux OEL 5.5
native multipath
vnx01
vnx02
I have a host that has block storage provision from vnx01. This host was zoned to both vnx01 and vnx02. No storagegroup for the host on vnx02. Multipath -ll shows the following errors:
sda: checker msg is "readsector0 checker reports path is down"
sdb: checker msg is "readsector0 checker reports path is down"
sdp: checker msg is "readsector0 checker reports path is down"
sdq: checker msg is "readsector0 checker reports path is down"
These devices are from vnx02. I determined this my multipath -v3 -d output.
This host had crashed and rebooted this morning and prior to the reboot there were errors to the devices listed above. I suspect this caused the reboot. So my question is how can the system see these devices from vnx02 when nothing is provisioned on vnx02 for the host?

if it's zoned to VNX2, it will see LUNZ ..although i would not suspect that to cause the box to panic.
