PPME migration HELP!

Hello,I am migrating a host from the dmx-2000 to the vnx. The code on the dmx-2000 is too old for Open Replicator so I decided to use PPME. All looks good, my disks are in copied using powermig sync, and then I successfully executed selecttarget which went fine. I look in powerpath and the old disk assignments still exist to the symms. I did not commit because we wanted to see if the app would run on the new disk.Is this because I did not commit?

I usually use OR so this is a bit new for me, please help. The server is windows 2008.

what do you mean "old disk assignment still exist to he symm" ? PowerPath will continue to show symdev until you commit and cleanup the handle and unmask it.

Yeah, it is still down. The windows admin is in his way into the office since he cannot get in remotely.

I rebooted before the cleanup, would that cause a problem? Before the reboot, it looked like the commit was fine and all the devices were ok.

Thank you Dynamox, I did the commit and rebooted the server is not coming back up. I did not unzone, should I have unzoned before the reboot?

i believe until you clean up the handle both devices have their identical signature which can blow windows mind. You can unzone the symm (was this the last device from the symm ?) or just unmask that device and see if it comes up with only VNX presented.
