RecoverPoint - extend a LUN needs to recreate replication set?
I have a couple of VNX5700 and I'm using RecoverPoint to ensure we have DR capabilities for a subset of our business applications. This all works well.
Now I'm investigating the detailed procedure for expanding LUN sizes for existing consistency groups. From what I've read in this and other forums, you have to temporarily remove the replication set from the CG, expand the LUN sizes on both sides and then re-add the replication set. This causes a full resync of the replication set.
Is this really the case, and if so, how can this be called a continuous data protection solution? This process can take quite a while if the LUNs involved are large, and during that time I'm not protected? Do I really need to schedule a simple LUN expansion during a service window?

Volumes in a replication set can be resized in two ways:
◆Dynamically, after they were expanded dynamically on the array. This procedure does not result in a full sweep.
◆Non-dynamically, by removing and re-adding the volumes to the system. This procedure results in a full sweep.
Dynamic LUN resizing
Volumes can be resized dynamically only if the following conditions are met:
◆All volumes in the replication set are attached to a VNX splitter.
◆RecoverPoint 3.5 SP1 or later and VNX OE for Block 05.32 or later exist at all copies.
All volumes should be resized at the same time and to the same size. If they are not the same size, the allocated LUNs will not be fully utilized.
Before you begin, note the following:
◆Only dynamic expanding of LUNs is supported, not shrinking of LUNs.
◆After resizing the volumes in a replication set, virtual image access with roll will not be allowed to a point-in-time before the volume was resized. Virtual image access (without roll) and logged (physical) image access to a point-in-time before the resizing are supported.

Hi We tried the procedure to dynamically expand luns satisfying all pre-reqs. However, we had outage on production luns. RP 3.5 sp1 and vnx code 32. Should this have happened?
