VxRail expansion with 6 uplinks for VDS

I'm trying to expand a cluster with two new nodes.  The existing cluster's nodes each have 6 x 10G uplinks.  I've got 6 x 10G uplinks on the new nodes as well.

When I validate in the "Add nodes" wizard, I'm getting a message of

"The size of the nic_mappings should be either 2 or 4 for each VDS"

I'm thinking that the system wants only 4 uplinks?  Should I remove 2 uplinks on the existing nodes and new nodes?  The system has been running well for a couple of years - I hate to mess with it.

Thanks for any advice.

    Hello jfrentheway,

What is your current VxRail cluster version?  Do you have a LAG that is configured on your vDS?

Currently on 7.03.370.  No LAGs, all vanilla.

I was afraid of that.  I have to wait for the guy with the support access to get back from vacation.

    Thanks though!

    Heya,

I'd recommend checking out the VxRail Network Planning Guide. It's pretty in-depth when it comes to network requirements and you may find it pretty helpful for this question.
