When it comes to VxRail Remote Support Connectivity we can either connect directly or use SCG, but is there any difference when it comes to what is sent over to Dell support as of troubleshooting logs and other proactive configurations ? Is there any limited features ? I understand SCG can monitor several systems from one location, is that it ?
If we have prosupport will it support the proactive stuff with direct connect :) ?
There is no difference in the logs that are collected and reviewed for troubleshooting. You are correct in that SCG is used to monitor multiple system in your environment from a single location. When it comes to you pro support it is best to use SCG.
So if i understand correctly, If I only have one system, then configure it directly ? SCG does not give me any benefits if I only have one system right
my understanding is that SCG has more features, especially with that other tool, policy manager or something like that, you can actually approve the channel Dell->VxRail on a per-occurrence basis.
