16-bit Insufficient memory

I am getting the error message "Can't run 16-bit application: Insufficient Memory. Try closing windows applications and try again." when I try to install a game. I have checked the *.nt files like Windows support suggests, but it doesn't fix anything.

This problem is NOT happening at Windows startup, rather when I try to install a program. Any help would be appreciated...

See if the little app here will fix your problem:

Try to run it in w95 compatibility mode. Right click on application - Properties - Compatibility - Check run in W95 compatibility mode.

If this does not work, then good luck.

Mapped to a virtual drive... still no go... This is getting a little irritating... I also increased the amount of virtual memory allocated... still no go... I wonder what could have happened... let me check the BIOS!!
