there is a password on the computer to get into certain programs. is there anyway to reset this or change the password because i do not know the password it wants. it says
The new task, has been created but may not run because the account information could not be set.
The specific error is:
0x80070005: Access is denied.
Try using the Task page Browse button to locate the application.
First do you have Windows XP Professional or Home Edition? I've contacted Microsoft 2/09 & 2/10th and the "workaround" solution is for Pro edition and Home Edition owners should contact Dell for support. I haven't been able to reach anyone yet but please post...
We're in the same situation=Home Edition,,,Microsoft rep advised waiting until the next Service Pak comes out...? I'll wait til one of the techie's responds with a productive solution.
Okay...any help here would be greatly appreciated!!
I have Windows XP Home Edition SP2. I am getting the same error: Access is denied when I create a task. Here is what I have done so far. Microsoft is no help. They say contact Dell. Dell is no help. They say, hey it is a software issue...PAY UP! :smileymad: I have tried the workaround, but when I go to Start --Run, and type in gpedit.msc I get an error that states that name is not recognized? I have tried to create a password...still doesn't work? I have tried everything the forums have said to try to no avail. Has anyone here had any success with this issue?
