Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader

When I try to open either program, the logo picture will appear and the program will not go any further.  The only way to clear the logo picture is either to go to task manager and end the process or to reboot.

    More on this issue.  I can load to programs for the Safe Mode.  I am running windows xp on a dimension 4600.

    If you have the latest Acrobat 6.01 the you should uninstall Acrobat reader..they conflict for control.
