You can definitely update the BIOS to version A11. Just ensure there are no peripherals connected to the computer other than the Battery and AC Adapter. There are no risks at all in updating the BIOS.

No risk at all, huh? The risk - it's a small one - but if the BIOS update fails and it doesn't rollback the update properly, it cannot be repaired and the motherboard must be replaced. I'll grant you that the possibility is remote, but there IS some risk.
