Blue screen, what to do?
Hello folks!
This is my first time using this forum plus my English is poor so please bare with me!
My fathers Dimension 4300 had numerous viruses, spywarez and trojans due to a no longer active anti virus software and a 14-yo daughter. After a lot of hard work I managed to remove all of them and my father bought Norton Systemworks. After hours of updating (Norton and Windows) I used a function in Systemworks that are supposed to fix errors in the OS, not one-button-check-up (I think it´s called windoctor or something like it). It found 1 error in "startup" and I used the "repair function".
Now every time I turn the computer on win loads as it´s supposed to until it reaches the "welcome page" where it slows down. After like 5-6s windows finally loads and everything looks normal but then it appears, the blue screen of death! Just 2-6s after the desktop appeared.
There´s an undo function in windoctor (or whatever it´s called) but systemworks will not load in "fail safe mode" (my translation from Swedish) so I can´t use it. And we can´t use system restore either as one of the viruses has turned it off and I didn´t discover that until now.
Is there anyway to repair windows using the cd?
ANY suggestions appreciated.

You can do a repair reinstall of Windows using the procedure here but that may not correct the problem. If you post the exact wording of the error message when the blue screen appears (which may be altered by translation from Swedish) that might be helpful. You may be able to do some troubleshooting based on that error message using the information here.
