Cannot view certain websites

This may have already been mentioned in previous topics, but I feel I should not bring them back. When I try to access a certain website (http://www.gecko-games.com) a message saying "Page cannot be displayed" is there instead. I have 2 computers, and the other one lets me go on it fine. The problem? That computer is frequently in use and it is horrifically slow. I'm just wondering if there is a fix.
System Specs:
Dell Dimension 4550

GeForce 4 MX 420

Platform: Windows XP SP1 (WinNT 5.01.2600)
MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP1 (6.00.2800.1106)

Pentium 4, 2.53 GHz

512 MB RAM

60 GB Hard drive

Sorry if you need more (you probably don't need any of that)

May be a corrupted HOSTS file. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\ect and locate the file "HOSTS". It has no extensions. Rename it to HOSTS.OLD and reboot. Windows will recreate a clean copy.

it didn't work...... the file did not recreate itself, as you had said after rebooting....
