CCleaner (Utility Software) Question...

I have a Dell XPS 400 that is approximately 2 years old.  Is CCleaner a useful (and safe) utility to clean up my hard drive?

Yes, it is a useful cleaner, if you know how to use it.

I find it most useful to clean:

    Cleaner>Windows tab:
    Internet Explorer
    - Temporary Internet Files
    - Cookies
    - Delete Index.dat files
    System
    - Empty Recycle Bin
    - Temporary Files
    - Clipboard
    - Chkdsk File Fragments

I would strongly suggest you avoid using its Registry cleaning

I use CCleaner about once a month, including the registry cleaner. Never encountered a problem afterward.
