Odius, Not sure what your problem is. We need more info as to exactly what the problem is.
When you say "hit it" I will assume it's the little E button. You must use the 'Backup: Dell-Installed Programs" disk and install Dell Solutions. Without this installed you may not get Dell Support Center and you will get a YellowQuestion Mark in your Device Manager.
If your browser is not configured, can you use it to go on the web?

Well it's not really a problem I can't live with. Just curious that there is this icon in my start menu that says Dell Solution Center. When I "Hit/Click" on it another screen appears. It has different choices like Support, entertainment and others. But when I make a choise, it tells me "Browser not configured" then goes to the "The page cannot be displayed"

Nothing in the device manager has a yellow question mark on it.

The browser? I use MyIE2. It's like MSIE, but with a whole lot more toys. But I can get online.
It's not a #1 problem with me, but I was just wondering how to configure it with my browser? So it will work, otherwise I will remove it.
Well I had to install somekine of .net framework for it to work off the CD. But it installed the weird E that seems to give me the same info the "Solution Center" does, but it doesn't do a thing for the Dell icon. Oh well.
Odius, I use MYIE2 also. I don't think Dell Solutions uses the browser. Try removing Dell Solutions in the Add/Remove then reinstalling it again as long as you have the CD (see my first post) I get to Dell Solutions using the Start -> Programs
I have had exactly the same problem, i.e. not being able to get into Dell Support System after the first welcome sceen.
May be use one of these two solutions (both worked). Note : I hope that the translation of the names will be correct, as I have a French Windows XP version.
1. I saw under properties (right click on the icon) something like launchie:hcp://System/DellSystem.htm or launchie:hcp://system/HomePage.htm. I do not know anymore as I uninstalled Dell Support Center (see 2 below)
So I tried hcp://System/DellSystem.htm or hcp://system/HomePage.htm (check) under Internet Explorer after launching it... And it worked!
I presume that now SP2 is blocking the launchIE function?
2. I saw also Help and Support (Question Mark Icon) over Dell Support Center in the Start Menu. I found there exactly the same information as in Dell Support Center.
So I suppressed Dell Support Center application (with the usual Windows Adding/Deleting Programs icon). Everithing is fine now.
