Dimension 3000 - Strange Software Bug

I recently installed my CD of Microsoft Office Professional 2003 on my Dell Deminsion 3000, and after doing so, a few (more like alot) of my other programs have this bug.  (Its hard to explain so please look at these screenshots.)

Screen 1 - Has Bug
Screen 2 - Does Not Have Bug

The Bug in the first Screen shows that under where it says [File] [Edit] [...] has white space, where the second screen shows that there is no white space.

If anyone knows how to fix this problem i am asking you to please post here.

Thank you.

You posted this on 10/18 and got no responses.  Posting again now, and on two different forums, really isn't proper use of the forums.

    OK, I'll answer it.

Do a complete "clean" reinstall of all software, back to the original Dell configuration.  See if you still have the problem.  If not, then it was the Office install that caused it.  Reinstall Office again and see if you get the "problem" again.

I already tried reinstalling office and still have the problem, I am going to make backups, and save my network configuration then try a full Dell PC Restore.

    Thank you.
