Disk Cleanup Hangup

Dudes,

  I use disk cleanup and defrag on occasion but today trying to use disk cleanup it starts compressing files then stops. Just sits there and when I cancel disk cleanup the computer gets very SLOW!  A reboot sometimes restores its' usual vigor sometimes not. One reboot generated that famous "sending error report to Microsoft" message. Current NAV and Spybot scans are clean. I guess I just won't use disk cleanup but I'd like to. Windows XP Dimesion 4400

    Yes, it definitely is easier. I'll have to review all your pages (for the best way) going forward. No sarcasm meant.

    Dudes,

       Awesome, thanks! Worked like a charm. I get palpitations when hitting the install on "fixes" but this was just what the DR ordered.
