Does vista have something that will let you copy directly from 1 dvd to another? I have two dvd drives (one DVD +-RW) and I know that I can do it, I just don't have time to figure it out. I don't have roxio on my computer anymore, is that the key to do it?
I think, mweddle26 is asking if with VISTA alone could he copy dvd to dvd?
As I understood from this forum
Yes one could do that but first the DVD contents will have to be copied to the HDD and then can copy into a "new" DVD.
I understad that you have two dvd drives with one RW-+ but If I understood correctly, you will need another software such as Roxio.Nero or another will be required.
I do not know if programmes like Acronis True Image 11 Home will allow to do the above tasks?!!
If it would one can get "two birds with one stone"
Somebody with knowledge will tell us more [people like mombodog.GioAguilar or Rebel9 will know the answer I am sure]
If you had spend a few minutes of you time looking at the post I supplied you would see that Vista alone will not allow you to copy " Copy righted " encrypted DVD's as it is illegal to do so. You will have to decrypt them first and then encode them into the correct format etc...
There are 100's of free softwares on the internet that will do this for you.
I was not trying to be cute or anything else. It isn't my fault that you took it the wrong way.
Thank you, snowshine, for reading my post and answering what I asked instead of posting something useless and trying to be cute.
Please do not say things like this as it lessens your chance of someone else answering your posting in the future. We do not post useless things ever. The items you see at the bottom of our postings are called signatures.
I apologize, I was out of line saying that. My fingers were a little quicker than my brain on that reply. Thanks for your help and taking the time to read and answer my question.
