Every time I start up my computer and log on I get a error message "sysupd.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." And I send the problem to Microsoft everytime. I know it's in the Windows folder in "My Computer" and that it is a Application but I just can't figure out how to get rid of the error. I am very frustrated because I can't seem to get any help with fixing this error. Can anyone help me? I have emailed Dell and the solution they gave me didn't work. This error has been popping up for months. And also it's c:\windows\sysupd.exe All Users HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
I encountered the same problem with my computer only with an error in winmg.exe.
If the constant pop-up of the error message annoys you then u can disable it by right-clicking on my computer, then click on the ADVANCE tab, go to error report (or was it error message) and disable it.
It could be a virus (or more like 25 in my case), you could do an online virus scan to find out ( McAfee virus scan dont do sh**).
