Feedback on "Dell Support 3"

I am a bit wary of installing Dell Support 3 on my Latitude D410 notebook. I'm sure I don't want to pay to keep the subscription to PC Tune-Up when that expires. Does anybody have experiences, advice to share? Thanks!

I have never used any of Dell's support tools for very long. (They are worthless in my opinion). You
would be better off reading some articles on "How to Keep my computer Free of viruses, adware, malware etc.Get some simple tools like CCleaner and some antivirus and scumware removers and this is really all you need. If you run into a problem posting your problem in a forum such as this (there are many others) I think is the best solution. Most users when encountering problems leap before they look. They often go looking for a problem to solve  and end up creating more problems.

Asking for help and giving all that you know about the problem is best.

Others may have different opinions of "support tools" but they often send users on wild goose chases for drivers that aren't needed or applications that have no purpose other than to fill the pockets of the application vendor.

Again this is just my opinion.

I leaped before cheking comments on Dell Forum and purchased the Dell Automatic PC TuneUp program and am havine trouble getting the system to reconigize the license key number; keep gettin "invalid license key" even though I type in the number assigned.   So, I stuck not being able to use this program until I get help.

Thought this was a good idea to save me from remembering have to do maintainance.
