Firefox green screen???
Hello-
A while back I wrote about a "Firefox purple screen"....well now it's the same problem, only with a green screen:smileysad: It just happened recently, when I was in the middle of something in Firefox, and the screen just went green. I had to shut it down and restart. I didnt receive any helpful answers in the last post, so Im posting again. I do have a good antivirus, and I check for spyware all the time. Nothing else unusual is happening at the time this happens. It has only happened when Im using Firefox, and it only just happened twice. But the purple screen happened a few times before this. Most of the time everything is fine, and there is nothing strange that would indicate a problem. Obviously this sounds virus related but....why isnt my AV catching it? The only spyware Ive found are tracking cookies, after multiple scans. WHY is this happening??:smileyindifferent:

It hasnt happened in IE, as I mentioned. And 'no', I cant provide a screenshot at the moment, since I would have to wait for it to happen again to do that. But, just to make it simpler, imagine a bright green or purple screen, thats what the shot would look like:smileyhappy: You mentioned the video card....how do I look into that? I guess I could run the Dell diagnostics at startup. Maybe I'll do that.-ThanksM.fashionluvr

Your question is confusing....it's not one or the other. It's BOTH. Yes, the whole screen changes color, but doesn't flicker or anything, just changes to a solid color. And YES it only happens in Firefox? So I'm not sure what you were asking. I don't think I need to reinstall FF since everything is working great, except for that one thing that doesn't happen very often. But if it IS a virus, I'd like to think that my AV would catch it, but maybe it has to do with the video,like the last post suggested.----M.
