Google Mail suddenly stopped working Windows 8.1
Forgive me if this is the wrong forum but I am new to these forums.
Both my wife and I have Gmail accounts that suddenly will not work within the mail app on windows 8.1. We get a message to say unable to synchronise. It seems to me that it cannot connect to google, but I maybe wrong We have had the computer a few months and from day one it has worked correctly.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Thank you

Use your browser on the Desktop to connect to gmail as you used to instead of the Mail App. That works much better than using the Mail App which is mainly for IMAP mail like Hotmail aka Outlook.com or Yahoo. Gmail has its own mail application and it can conflict with the Mail App.
