In the process of installing and uninstalling various versions of Visual Studio and SQL Server, I have found myself in a situation where IIS will not serve up .asp pages. It will serve up .htm, and .aspx pages, but returns a 500 error when I try to serve up an .asp page.

 

Things were working OK until the last deinstall of SQL Server Express and install of SQL Server Standard edition, at which time it broke. I have been poking around on the microsoft site, and on Google, as well as making queries at work, and have tried many things, but nothing seems to make any difference. I have rolled back using Norton Ghost 12, 14 and 20 days, to a point that I know was before the problem, but the problem is persisting with each rollback. I really do not want to have to reinstall the operatung system, so I am looking for some help before I have to take that drastic step.

 

In addition, the CD and DVD buring software is now returing an error, and not allowing me to burn CDs and DVDs. This problem happened at the same time. It returns an error "Runtime Error!  Progra: ...ommon Files\Sonic Shared\Sonic Central\Main\Mediahub.exe R6025 - pure virtual function call."

 

Any help would be much appreciated.
