How can I OWN my files.

I have three Dell computers. A Dimension 2400, a Dimensiion 8400 and an Inspiron  6400.
The 2400 has Windows XP professional, the 8400 has VISTA Business and the Inspiron 6400 has VISTA Home Premium.

I am having problems with the networking. I am the Administrator and only user on all three computers.
I have got the three visible to each other, but, I cannot access the files from each because I am not the "Owner" according to the error messages. The "Public" files are accessable one to the other, but nothing that I can do will let me read the other files.  There was not a problem until I went over to VISTA.  How I hate it.

Any help gladly received.

    1) Give yourself "Owner" permissions
    2) Take control of your drives.
