This may seem a basic question, but it has been bothering me for long.

I have a Windows Media Center Laptop from dell (Inspiron 6000). Now I need to connect it to a TV trough S-Video so that I can watch some DVDs or AVI files being played on my computer.

When I connect the SVideo cable; and ask ask the laptop to show the display on both the tv and the laptop screen, it does that well ( all the windows and other stuff).

But when I start the Media Center, the display on both the tv and the monitor goes off. Does anyone know what is happening?
(Media Center works fine on the laptop, when not connected to tv)
